Cookie Policy
What cookies TCC Canada uses, why, and how you can control them.
This Cookie Policy explains how TCC Canada (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on tcccanada.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. By continuing to use the site you agree to our use of essential cookies; non-essential cookies load only after you accept them through the consent banner or the cookie preferences link at the bottom of the site.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — pixels, local storage and tag scripts — work in comparable ways. Cookies let websites remember information between visits (for example that you accepted the consent banner) and give us anonymised information about how our site is used.
Categories we use
- Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the site to work — page navigation, security, form submissions, remembering your cookie choice. These load without consent because the site cannot function without them.
- Analytics cookies. Set by Google Analytics 4 (GA4) so we can measure how many people visit each page, which centres attract the most interest, and where visitors come from. We use Google Consent Mode so these tags respect your choice.
- Advertising & remarketing cookies. Set by Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and LinkedIn so we can measure the effectiveness of our ads and show TCC Canada ads to people who have visited our site. Some processing takes place in the United States. These cookies load only after you accept them.
Cookies we use
- Google Analytics 4 — identifiers like _ga, _ga_*. Purpose: analytics. Retention: up to 14 months.
- Google Ads — identifiers like _gcl_au. Purpose: conversion measurement and remarketing. Retention: up to 90 days.
- Meta Pixel — identifiers like _fbp. Purpose: advertising measurement and remarketing across Facebook and Instagram. Retention: up to 90 days.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag — identifiers like li_sugr, bcookie. Purpose: advertising measurement and remarketing on LinkedIn. Retention: up to 90 days.
- Cloudflare — identifiers like __cf_bm. Purpose: bot mitigation and security. Retention: session.
- TCC consent state — identifier tcc_consent. Purpose: remembers your cookie choice so you are not re-prompted. Retention: 6 months.
How to change your choice
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies at any time using the cookie preferences link. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers provide instructions under Preferences or Settings > Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly. Blocking advertising cookies does not affect your ability to use the site.
Third-party services
When advertising or analytics cookies are active, information about your visit may be shared with the third-party providers listed above. Each of them acts as an independent data controller for the analytics or ad measurement they run. Their own privacy notices apply: Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Cloudflare.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time when we add or change the tools we use. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
